Although they are adorable animals….
If you ever thought of getting one, you may want to think twice

The proper cage/enclosure is going to run you upwards of $20,000.
The diet, you can’t buy “monkey chow”. It must be prepared, fresh, daily, and must meet all dietary needs.
Monkeys are omnivores. This diet is going to be very expensive.
You have tosupply them with all sorts of toys, games, etc.
Things in your home could possibly get broken and need replacing.
When they get ill, you will need a vet who knows them.
What vet is going to see a monkey?
A zoo vet, and you are really going to pay out some cash.

Biggest thing to consider also, is that they are, “Sociable Animals” which means you can’t just have one, they need to be kept with others of their species.
They need company or you risk them going crazy.
